Contacted and verified 16 Haj and Umrah agents across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana. Collected registration details, licences and WhatsApp contacts.
Designed the agent data model, state/city taxonomy and search filter system. Chose Cloudflare Workers for edge deployment speed.
Agent listing pages, state/city filter, search functionality and individual agent profiles built and tested.
Built the enquiry routing system — each agent gets enquiries via WhatsApp based on their state and city, with pre-filled messages including pilgrim's name and requirement.
Onboarded all 16 agents with full profiles, photos, service details and WhatsApp numbers. Built Umrah package information pages.
Deployed on Cloudflare Workers. Shared with mosque communities across three states. 5,000 pilgrims reached in first month.

For a religious pilgrimage directory, perceived trustworthiness is everything. The decision to display agent registration numbers and licence details publicly — rather than hiding them — was the single most impactful trust signal on the platform.
The pilgrimage community is WhatsApp-native. A routing system that sends enquiries directly to an agent's WhatsApp — with the pilgrim's state and requirement pre-filled — produced 8x more completed enquiries than a standard contact form.
Pilgrims in rural Karnataka and Maharashtra access the platform on 3G/4G networks. Cloudflare Workers' edge deployment meant the directory loaded quickly regardless of the pilgrim's location or network quality.
Building state/city filtering into the data model before writing the first listing page made scaling from 1 state to 3 states trivial. Retrofitting geo-filtering onto an existing flat directory structure would have required rebuilding from scratch.
